DuckBot Appliances

A turnkey AI-assisted business operations appliance — Mini-PC hardware, Clawdio-Pro software, Zoho One license, and ongoing managed service. Shipped, installed, and supported by local humans plus an AI escalation tier.

1What is a DuckBot?

DuckBot is an appliance, not a SaaS subscription.

You don't sign up for a website and start configuring. We deliver a small Mini-PC, pre-installed with our Clawdio-Pro AI software and connected to your bundled Zoho One subscription. You unbox it, plug it in, and call us if you need anything. From day one, the appliance is doing real work for your business — and a real human (plus our Clawdio AI escalation tier) is standing behind it.

It is the operations layer for a small business that wants the benefits of a Zoho One CRM, AI assistance, and a managed IT footprint — without the overhead of running it yourself.

2What you get with every DuckBot

🖥️

3Hardware tiers

The hardware is a separate line item priced at cost + 30% (so prices follow the market — Mini-PC pricing fluctuates). The three tiers below are the typical bands; we'll quote your actual hardware at time of agreement based on current availability.

Refurbished

  • Lower cost-of-entry; same capability

4Service tiers

Setup fee covers OS install, Clawdio-Pro configuration, Zoho One provisioning, email and domain setup, and onboarding training. Monthly service is your ongoing managed-IT relationship with Lucky Duck — and includes one Zoho One user license. Additional users are $100/month each regardless of tier.

Pricing model — read this before comparing tiers

Tier setup + monthly = base price for one user.

Each tier includes 1 Zoho One user license, 1 LLM allowance bucket, and the tier's hardware bundle / support level / included add-ons. Additional users on the system are $100/month each — this covers the Zoho One license cost AND the per-user engineering / configuration / workflow programming time. The tier you pick is about setup scope, support level, and which add-ons are included — not about how many users you bring.

6DuckBot vs cloud-only AI services

Most "personal AI" services on the market today are self-serve cloud subscriptions: you sign up, bring your own LLM API key, and configure the bot yourself. They start at $10–$60 per month. Lucky Duck's DuckBot is a different product category. Quick comparison:

If you want a $30/mo Telegram bot you configure yourself, you don't need DuckBot. If you've been thinking about hiring a managed IT shop and adding AI capability on top, DuckBot is one bill that does both for less.

8FAQ

I have a team of 8. What does my actual monthly bill look like?

Tier monthly = base price for one user. Each additional team member who needs to operate DuckBot directly is $100/month each. Worked example: 8-person team on the Standard tier = $350 (base, includes 1 user) + $700 (7 additional × $100) = $1,050/month on top of the one-time setup fee. The $100/user covers the Zoho One license cost AND the per-user engineering / configuration / workflow programming time — additional users aren't free even if they bring their own Zoho subscription.

If only 2-3 of those 8 people actually operate DuckBot directly (the rest are passive consumers receiving outputs via email or Slack), you only pay for the active operators — saving $500/month vs licensing the whole team. During onboarding we help you figure out who actually needs a license vs who can be a downstream recipient.

What if my LLM usage exceeds the allowance?

Each tier includes a base LLM allowance ($50/mo on Pilot and Standard, $50/mo on Pro base). If your usage approaches the limit, we surface it before you hit a hard stop. Additional LLM allowance is $20/month per increment — you can add increments as needed. Most clients on Pilot/Standard never need more than the base; heavier-volume clients on Pro typically run with 2-4 increments stacked on top of the base.

Do I have to be in Klamath Falls / Southern Oregon to use DuckBot?

No. We do white-glove install in person within Southern Oregon. Outside that, we ship the pre-configured appliance + do remote install support. Most setup work happens before the device leaves our shop, so a remote install is straightforward.

What if the hardware breaks?

Hardware comes with manufacturer warranty (1-year minimum on refurbished, longer on new). If a unit fails within warranty, we coordinate the replacement and ship you a loaner if downtime is an issue. Outside warranty, we quote replacement at cost + 30% just like any other hardware.

Do I own the hardware or do you?

You own it. We sell it to you (the cost-+-30% line item is a sale). It's your appliance from day one. If you cancel monthly service, you keep the hardware — we just stop providing the managed service and the bundled Zoho One license.

Can I cancel monthly service?

Yes, with 30 days written notice. You keep the hardware. The bundled Zoho One user license requires the monthly service relationship; if you cancel, you can transfer the user to a Zoho One subscription you pay directly (we'll help you migrate).

What's the difference between DuckBot and Clawdio-Pro on the Cloud?

Same software; different delivery model. DuckBot puts Clawdio-Pro on physical hardware at your site. Clawdio-Pro on the Cloud hosts the same software on Lucky Duck infrastructure with no client-side hardware. Choose DuckBot if you want on-premise, want to own the hardware, or value local data residency. Choose Clawdio-Pro Cloud if you want to skip the capex and onboard faster.

Why is Lucky Duck's pricing higher than the $30/mo cloud AI bots I see online?

Different product category. Those are self-serve cloud subscriptions where you bring your own LLM API key and configure the bot yourself. DuckBot is hardware + software + Zoho One license + ongoing managed service from a local human + AI escalation. Closer comparison is a managed IT contract (typically $300–$1,500/mo for small business) — except DuckBot includes AI capability the IT shop doesn't have.
